I haven't posted my crochet in a while. I finished a couple of projects so it was time to start a couple of new ones. First, here's the donation chemo blanket. I'm about 70% through the third skein and then there's one more after this one. I like having a couple of projects to rotate through so I started these new ones. I don't have a to of thys clearance yarn for a big blanket but, if I adding a little black, I think I will have enough for this to be a wheelchair blanket about 27" x 36". I really like this yarn and the linen stitch will make a nice, warm and soft lap blanket. After Christmas I'm going to be going on an 8-day road trip with my best friend and my favorite doggie. We have lots of fun things planned between Richmond and Denver and I'm going to need a car crochet project for the hours on the road. I decided to make another shawl exactly like this one. I have just enough yarn to make one more and it's not too bulky for packing and a good size for car crochet. I got the next started so that when I get in the van on the 30th, I'll be ready to go.
I also reorganized my yarn cabinet and confirmed that I have enough yarn for a couple of years...maybe 3. This weekend is devoted to dyeing Christmas gifts, veterans quilt backs and a large quilt back for the farm quilt. 12/13/2024 10:55:00 am
that blanket is pretty. I haven't worked on my knitting or crochet lately

Your road trip sounds like fun, but man, that is a lot of driving! But if you have fun stops planned along the way, that will help break up the trip. Plus, I imagine it will be fun to do with a dog! (I've never travelled with a dog before).

p.s. It sounds like your trip is all planned, but if you are going through St. Louis, MO, it's worth a stop to see the MO Botanical Gardens. It would still be nice even though there won't be anything flowering. There are a number of sculptures, and it's a beautiful place to just walk around.

I need to come up with a new crochet project just to give my hands a break from knitting. I dropped off the three 'kitty blankies' to the humane society this afternoon so need a new project to keep me amused.

One of the most interesting things about crochet is the different stitches you can make. The Pink blanket looks so different than the Red one.
