I had lots of goal for April and didn't' quite meet them all. Part of the reason is that I did a lot of outside work in April and I also got started back working on glass. I also really only had 3 weeks since i was away all of last week. Here's where I ended up on my goals: Finish Antelope Canyon wedding quilt - As far as I am concerned, this was the big one and I did it! Quilt 4 veterans quilts - quilted 2 because I gave some to other quilters and then had to dye backs for others. Start 2 veterans quilt tops - finished 2 and started another! Start my nephew's wall hanging - this will be my main May goal because I want to deliver it to him at the beach. Start a new quilt project - I started a veterans quilt top with half square triangles and started planning Groovy 3 Make 4 placemats - didn't even think about it I finished 3 crochet projects, started 3 new projects and used 6 balls of yarn. That's 29 balls for the year! The biggest accomplishment was finishing the wedding quilt! Now I'll start the wall hanging for my newphew. On the community service front I quilted 2 veterans quilts and made two new veterans quilt tops. Two of the crochet projects (wheelchair blanket and chemo hat) fit in this category too. The big new thing for April is that I fired up the glass kiln again for the first time in 3 years! I'm slumping a lot of bottles to make family gifts for beach week but I'll start making things with the cool glass again soon.
May goals: - make my nephew's wall hanging - start Groovy 3 - quilt 4 veterans quilts - make some postcards I'm leaving the list lean so that I can leave myself an opening for some Paducah inspiration! 5/2/2022 05:58:35 pm
I would say you had a great month! Lots of variety. Outside work really takes up a lot of time and then there is the recovery day after too many hours working.

I'm looking forward to your report on Paducah. I, of course, don't stand a chance of ever getting there myself so I will have to live vicariously through you.

I would say that you did well. I have been doing other things and haven't accomplished a lot of sewing.

Like the others, I am looking forward to your Paducah experience. As it's been a good 30 years since I was there, I would think, like everything else, it's changed. Hopefully, you and mom thoroughly enjoyed yourselves. What I always loved, were the workshops, where there were make and takes, some free, some not.

Your antelope canyon turned out beautiful, what a nice gift. I enjoy seeing your slumping again. Comments are closed.
