I had some quality time to work on this poncho this weekend. I've determined that, because of the dark color, I have to work on it during the day sitting by a window. SO far it seems like it might fit but I'll keep going to finish this ball and see how it fits them. I think I'm on about row 35. We had some nice weather so I got more mulching done and have emptied 5 truckloads so far. I have 5 or 6 more to go. The other thing that I worked on this weekend it cutting out some pieces for a test block. This is the block I'm trying to make. It's from the Lepidoptera pattern from Elizabeth Hartman. I'm not sure it's going to work in the "Paual" fabrics but I'll get this one block sewn together and try it out. I think I'm also going to try it in Hand dyed fabrics too.
My plans for the week are for more mulching, sewing some Lepidoptera blocks and cleaning up after the house work is done. It's possible that things will be complete today!

The patterning in the crochet is showing up nicely now. I hope it works out because it will be lovely.

That poncho looks really elegant in that gray wool. Love your Paula fabrics. Looking forward to seeing your butterfly block.

The Elizabeth Hartman blocks are so well thought out. I have one of her patterns and should actually make something from it.

Love the pattern in the yarn for the poncho, lovely! That is an interesting block, is it traditionally pieced? Seems like a lot to keep straight, and I look forward to seeing how it comes together.

The pattern in the poncho is very pretty! There are a lot of pieces in that butterfly block, but it is no more complex than the farm blocks so it should be a piece of cake for you!

Now you're further along with the crochet project it's easier to see the pattern...it's a pretty one. I could 'see' it in a blanket too.
