Shipping schedule noticeI'm leaving in a couple of days to help my Mom move. She's sold her house and is moving to an apartment closer to me. We like to do things together so it's going to be great to have her close by. Plus my quilt club is much better than the one she's leaving! It's bigger (but not too big) and a lot more active....but I might be biased. But, this being a business with only one employee, it means that I will not be shipping between Thursday, April 5 and Tuesday April 10. I also will not be able to dye custom orders for 2 weeks. If you need to get something scheduled for dyeing you can contact me. I'll be checking and responding to messages, but just unable to actually work. I hope this doesn't cause too many problems. Black is a difficult color to get in hand dyed fabric. There used to be a wonderful blended black dye produced by Dharma Trading that was fantastic and then one of the ingredients was no longer available. The dyeing world panicked and most commercial dyers do not dye black or grays. There are other blended blacks available and I tried them all but none of them dye solid black and also shades of gray. So I spent a year blending samples to get my own black and finally hit the jackpot with sample #64. This is that black and it's on sale this week while supplies last. Black is sold by the yard and it's on sale 20% off through Sunday or while supplies last. Other fabric newsStash packs contain 10 (TEN) Fat Eights of hand dyed cotton fabric. These are great for artists that work with smaller sizes of fabrics or those who want to build a nice variety of hand dyed fabrics. Each piece of fabric is approximately 9” x 20”. Each pack is based on a color theme although the fabrics are not intended to match. Autumn Green is a theme that remains popular and now it's back.
