Yesterday was such a great day. It was the first day since we got home that I didn't leave the house for anything and it was the first day of football! The move went great but by Saturday evening we were both exhausted. The move was Thursday but we had a few days of finishing packing, setting up internet and other prep tasks. We got all of the boxes unpacked by Friday evening and started organizing the sewing room Saturday. Tomorrow we will hang her art and then she can start the Easter Egg phase of figuring out where we stuffed everything. We think a couple of things were stolen off the back of the truck at her old apartment building which is the perfect sign that it was the right time to move. All-in-all it was a big success. The only thing I've done in the sewing room is unpack the blue quilt. I won't be making much progress on this because I have to start working on this year's Paula Nadelstern sample quilt. I sent in my fabric order last night and might have the fabrics by the end of the week. The only thing I've had the energy for is some crochet and I've been working on the baby blanket. It might get done tonight during Monday Night Football.

that is awful to have things stolen off the back of the truck while in the process of moving!! I hope she will be happy with her new place. You must be exhausted now, vacation, and then helping with your mom's move. You will need to sit and relax now

Sorry about some of your Mom's stuff getting stolen. It may have been the movers. On my last move, a 3 drawer plastic bin of sewing items and several boxes of other stuff never made it to my house. Grrrr.

I figured all of you would enjoy some much needed down time after the move. My Mom always said when someone stole something, she guessed (and hoped) they needed it more than her. Hoping this was the case with your dear Mom’s things. I’m looking forward to some peeks here and there with the Paula N. new project! Football is definitely in the air at our home too, SEC as well as NFL.

I guess that means pack everything of value first and leave the items you could live without as the last to put on the truck. There is so much vandalism and robbery now. A lot of kids weren't taught to respect other people's property.

I know that you are glad the move is behind you. I know how that Easter Egg phase feels. It takes me some time after a move to get settled with where things got put away.

Sorry to hear thing were taken from the truck and like you said it was time to move. Trying to remember where everything was put - that is a challenge! I got in the habit of watching the Browns play because on Monday all the guys would talk about the game. Here at the job site I am on now, the game wasn't a big talking point. One of the fellow did go to a tailgate party at the stadium, but didn't have tickets. He watched the game on a TV that was set up, but finally left because of the rain.
