I'm going to start out this month's report with a little show-and-tell.
When I did the AQS show in October the AQS folks surprised my by wanting to do a video in my booth. Honestly, I had forgotten about it until I got my AQS magazine this week and saw that I had bee featured in their Product Spotlight. If the video doesn't play, here's the direct link: https://youtu.be/kx0Df5LV-BM
Yes, I'm a Southern girl! Now on to my self-report. My goals for January were: - finish 4 veterans quilts - DONE! - bind and label Indonesian Batik - DONE! - label for Antelope Canyon - not done and 2 other quilts need labels too - possibly start a foundation piecing project, I have a couple of choose from - DONE! - resume quilting Lost My Marbles - not done, but resumed my mosaic wall instead - 3 EQ lessons - only 1 done so far I consider that a pretty darned successful month because I also quilted 4 veterans quilts and made 3 pet beds with all of the scraps.
The month looks great when viewed like that! My goals for February are:
- 2 more EQ lessons - progress on the mosaic wall - get back to quilting Lost My Marbles - progress on 4th of July - Zentangle labels for 3 quilts - get the kitchen finished, all of the cabinets reorganized and back to mormal life in the house oh Vicki! so neat to finally "meet" you LOL - now I can really picture you :) just seeing those fabrics on the video makes me picture them better for some reason too - I don't know if you understand what I mean but instead of a photo -- with you holding them in the video you can "see" them better

Yes, I would say you had a good month! I don't have any finishes for the month. I am just not as productive as I think I should be when I get home from work. I am going to put some effort into doing better for February. 2/1/2019 12:45:59 pm
It was so neat to see you speak and explain your work. Thanks for posting this chance to see you in person!

You’re famous! Loved your booth, especially the flowers! What a nice surprise. Someday I’ll get an ice-dyed mandela, quilt it up, and probably win a ribbon at my guild’s show. Since the show’s in early April this year, I don’t think I’ll make it this year.

Nice to "meet" you, Vicki! Thanks for posting the video - it's fun to "see" you in person - and now I have a better "perspective" of the size of your beautiful ice-dyed pieces - ;))

Thanks Vicki. The video is wonderful. You presented so nicely on camera. I loved getting to see you in action and hear your voice. I felt like I was meeting an old friend for the first time.

Hi Vicki....I was very happy to finally get to see you, and be able to put a face to the very talented woman, whose blog I really enjoy. Your booth was a great representation of all the beautiful fabrics you have created over the years and I'm so happy you were given the credit you deserve by being published in the AQS magazine, Thank you so much for sharing the video Vicki, and enjoy your day.

Just a repeat of the many comments above - it was nice to see you in person! I so enjoy your posts and FABRIC! I often window shop, but there are so many choices I can't make up my mind. I want to USE the fabric. I'm a teacher and the question I'm about to ask is not a clear one, but...

Tim... is he the brother who gets the best tie dyed towels? The video was fun. But I would get out all the gradients (my favorites) and spread them out and maybe roll in them.

That was great. Very clear demo of the array of fabrics you make/carry. I think that is the best product spotlight I have seen from quilt show coverage. Articulate and pretty. And your outfit was a great choice. Comments are closed.
