Today is the best example of why keeping some sort of record of what you make is a good idea. I sat down at the computer reflecting over the month and thought that I really didn't accomplish month. With our friends here I really haven't accomplished much at all the past 2 weeks for sure. But as I look over the whole month I'm pretty darned pleased! Since I haven't posted in a few days I'll start with our sewing progress this week. Yesterday just before dinner I out the last stitch in the Antelope Canyon quilt top. Next I'll work on piecing the backing and then get it loaded for quilting. I want this one done in the next week. It's a wedding gift and I'm not sure the couple will love it so it's going to get simple quilting and a machine stitched binding. Laura has been diligently working on her blocks and her quilt is going to be beautiful. She will take this project home to finish. Eventually it will be about 108" square and it's going to be beautiful. Now on to finishes. Of course, the big news of March was finishing Summer Sunset. That one had been hanging over me for so long that I feel like I could have stopped with that one and taken the rest of the month off! But I also finished 2 veterans quilts. I was happy to get back to quilting some veterans quilts in March and got these 4 done. I only have 2 waiting in the close right now and I'll get those done next week too. I hope I get lots more tops at the April meeting. In other projects I finished 4 more placemats and 21 mastectomy drain bags. Finally in crochet I finished off 7 balls of yarn to finish this baby blanket. I actually have 3 other projects underway but I've been too lazy to take photos. I have the white summer top that I haven't worked on since I went to the beach earlier this month. I'm at a point where I need to think about it and I'll do that next week. The second project is the Moogly CAL and that will last for months. The third project is one I started this week while we've been watching Bridgerton. It's an easy wheelchair blanket. I'll do a catchup crochet post next week.

You certainly did accomplish a lot despite having lots of social fun with your friends. I hope Laura will share photos of her quilt when she completes it. Comments are closed.
