Several years ago I picked up a delightful little book on punctuation called Eats, Shoots and Leaves. The title and cover art refers to this example of how punctuation makes a big difference: A panda eats shoots and leaves. A panda eats, shoots and leaves. Why is that relevant to a fabric blog post? Well, it's because the whole time I was working on this new Stash Pack I kept thinking about the Spring colors of "shoots and leaves". Therefore, I introduce to you Shoots and Leaves, the newest Stash Pack in the collection. These greens are all made with a bright yellow base to capture that bright greens of new Spring growth. All of the Stash Packs contain 10 fat eights (about 9" x 20") of fabric in a theme color. These fabrics are heavy on color texture to give you lots of options for fussy cutting specific elements. Each Stash Pack has 5 streaky fabrics and 5 mottled fabrics. Here are larger views of all of them. The fabrics you receive will not look exactly like these but they will be these colors and general textures. Each fat eighth is a gem on it's own. There are so many possibilities for fussy cutting applique or landscape elements. Fabric of the WeekAnother great fabric with beautiful green tones is Orlando. Orlando is from the Reflections collection of fabrics with bold streaky effects. Orlando combines a dark forest green with woodsy brown and is the fabric of the week this week. You can pick up Orlando for your Stash at 20% off through Sunday.

It probably says something about me that I recognized the title immediately. Of course, if you are a stickler about grammar, reading the reviews will have you cringing at the improper word usage in those reviews. Comments are closed.
