First, let me just say now that posting for the rest of the week might be hit or miss. We are having some internet issues that I think is a bad modem. We have a service call for Monday but in the meantime I'm having all sorts of issues trying to get my website editor to load. So if you don't hear from me until MOnday or Tuesday, that's why. I had 2 goals for November: - make Christmas postcards - make sample quilt tops for Paula Nadelstern. I got the quilt tops done for Paula nadelstern and hope that I can share then in color by the end of the month. I also hope to get them quilted and bound so they can be donated by the end of the month too. I am sooooo close on the postcards! I've been finishing the edges and I hope to get the bling added today. If I can get to the internet to edit my website I'll start posting the finished cards tomorrow. Yay! Because of having Laura here to visit and going to the beach, it wasn't much of a quilting and sewing month. It was a crochet month and I finished 3 projects and used 13 balls/skeins of yarn. I have 4 projects in process right now. Crazy. MY stats YTD Quilts - 3 Other major projects - Veterans quilts made - 9 Veterans quilts quilted - 21 Fabric Postcards - 14 Pet Beds - 6 Quilted for others - 2 Crochet blankets - 11 Crochet shawls - 4 Crochet/loom knit hats and scarves - 33 Doll outfits - 1 Placemats - 14 Pillows - Other Donated items - 41 Bags and totes - Garments (sewn and cochet) - 4 Balls of yarn used - 102 For December I'm working on finishing up the postcards this week and I sidetracked into making more donation hats because I'll be making a delivery of donation items this weekend. I figured I'd see how many hats I can get made with this O'Go yarn this week. Joann had this on a deep discount this week and now that I'm working with it I know why. But it's working fine for hats and they will be very warm hats.
Next I have to get busy dyeing some Christmas gifts and once that's done I want to focus on quilting some veterans quilts and get Mom's queen size quilt....and relax and enjoy the holiday. 12/2/2022 12:03:03 am
I think you got a lot accomplished. Even though the postcards are a small item, the sheer number of them makes it a big project.

I find that some small items - like the postcards- take almost as much time as something bigger.

I'm really intrigued by the Paula quilt, think it is courthouse steps on point. Also, my library has 2 of your book recommendations in audio, which is more than normal. I had one success Truly, Madly by Stephen Galloway. Biography of Vivien Leigh and Olivier. I admire your commitment to the Cmas cards each year. I spent a day designing and making a distinctive card for each family member. No one even commented.

I think those stats certainly show you haven't been slacking! Comments are closed.
