When I set out my goals for October I knew they were unrealistic. In actuality they were pretty ridiculous! That's OK. I don't beat myself up for it. This is really just a running list of things I want to put priority to. Sometimes it works as planned, sometimes a task takes longer than expected (ornament storage) and sometimes something new comes along.
Here's where I stand on October's list:
I think my biggest accomplishments for the month were getting the postage stamp quilt quilted and getting the ornaments packed and ready to deliver. I finished the ornament this weekend and will share more in a post on Wednesday. Suffice it to say that I made it 10 times more complex than it needed to be, as usual. My only other sewing project was sewing up the 15 walker caddies and I'm glad to be done with those.
I didn't do any other sewing projects simply because my room was such a mess from the walker caddies, storage project and the postage stamp quilt. I didn't have the space to get the vulture quilt out or to start anything new.
So instead, I crocheted. I finished a few hats and a big blanket. I also bought a lot of yarn on sale but we won't talk about that.
My goals for November revolve around getting ready for Christmas but also include :

I can't even imagine how much time getting the ornaments packed took. That gives you some more storage room and satisfaction knowing someone else is going to get great joy owning and displaying them. That's worth a couple finishes right there.

I'm Vicki Welsh and I've been making things as long as I can remember. I used to be a garment maker but transitioned to quilts about 20 years ago. Currently I'm into fabric dyeing, quilting, Zentangle, fabric postcards, fused glass and mosaic. I document my adventures here.
