I felt like October wasn't terribly productive, mostly because I spent a lot of my time doing much-needed yardwork. But as I look over the month, I did accomplish enough, starting with quilting 3 veterans quilts. Thanks to football season, I got a lot of hats crocheted and used up 10 balls of yarn. I am finally out of 5 and 6 wt hat yarn. I don't plan to buy more! The big project of the month was 130 surgery drain bags for donation.
Current Stats Quilts - 2 Veterans quilts made - 8 Donation lap quilts - Veterans quilts quilted - 52 Fabric Postcards - 23 Pet Beds - 9 Quilted for others - 3 Crochet blankets - 3 Crochet shawls - 1 Crochet/loom knit hats and scarves - 24 Placemats and Table Runners - 14 Potholders - 63 Dyed shirts and towels - 21 Other Donated items - 232 Garments (sewn and cochet) - 1 Balls of yarn used or gifted - 48 Goals for November: - Quilt 6 veterans quilts - Christmas postcards - Finish 2 veterans quilt - Make pet beds

I think for me it is October and November that is consumed with yard work - the quilts

It must feel good to have that yarn all used up. I'm sure the hats are greatly appreciated.

Yard work does take a lot of time, but it is nice to be outside when the weather is so beautiful. I would say you had a very good month!

Despite the yard work it seems you got quite a lot accomplished. I'm currently bogged down in the Grande Clear Out project and am stuck on the filing cabinet and its contents - primarily the drawer filled with genealogy information that I know our kids have zero interest in. So I sit and scan and upload onto Ancestry anything I think might be of any interest and am recycling the rest. Once I get through that the rest of my sewing room should be relatively easy (and a whole lot less time-consuming!). I really need to turn my attention to THAT day in December, but I know if I quit the sorting project now it's highly unlikely I'll get back to it.
