I had two big accomplishments yesterday. The first one was cleaning the house and that's nothing short of a miracle! We have a cleaning lady and she's awesome. Cleaning hours really stirs up my allergies so that's why we have Lisa. But Lisa had some major eye surgery recently and has gotten 2 weeks behind on cleaning. Chris and I decided to give her a break from us and clean the house ourselves yesterday. I think we actually did a pretty good job of it too but we will be glad to have Lisa back soon. My allergies went batty. But in the afternoon I was able to get this quilt top together. It is now in the to-be-quilted closet and it will ultimately be a veterans quilt. Tuesday night was quilt club and the annual trash-to-treasure sale. All of the money goes to the club to buy the backing and batting for our veterans quilts. This is about 2/3 of everything that was brought! There was a lot of stuff to choose from and we made over $1000 to go toward buying batting and backing. We spent about $1500 every year and all of that money comes from the members. We have the best group of quilters!
Today I'll be out most of the day, getting my annual eye exam and having lunch with my cousin and Mom. This afternoon I hope to get 2 veterans quilts loaded and basted before I settle in the watch the Eagles and Commanders tonight.

I must admit to a big curiosity to know if you bought anything at the sale - and if so what. Curious mind!!

The quilt top looks great. But how can you go wrong with scrappy hand-dyed fabrics?
