Yesterday was another beautiful day to be outside and to go buy more plants. But the evening was perfect for finishing the last 35 surgery drain bags. That brings the total to 130 for this batch. This is what they look like. The strap is a ribbon that goes through the loop on the other side. The patient will be able to adjust the length by tying the strap to the loop. Now I can get on with the Christmas card making. In gardening news, I bought 3 rhododendrons for Chris to plant today and about 90 daffodil bulbs that I will plant. I'm also repainting the address sign that my brother made for me a couple of years ago. The weather here is just amazing and will be amazing for at least a week so I'll be outside as much as possible. Leaf blowing will commence very soon too.

bet you are glad to get the bags done. I wouldn't like that kind of sewing. I have to work on my garden stuff again today - one day it will be done -- I hope by the end of November!!

After several colder days we are going back into a warmer phase (perfect weather) here, also. 10/20/2024 08:46:26 am
Wow, that is a lot of sweat shop sewing! I know the recipients will be grateful to have such a useful item. I made some double fleece blankets and sent them to Keepsake Quilting for distribution to NC hurricane victims. I did not have enough tops quilted as I have had a bunch of referrals lately for comfort quilts, so quickly made these very warm blankets. I would have made more, but the postage is a killer. They are taking quilts until Oct. 31st. They are pretty quick to make. I used the anti pill plush fleece from Joanns which was on sale. I use 2 1/2 yds for the front and 2 1/2 yards for the back. Now, back to the longarm. Comments are closed.
