Time to check in to see that I didn't really finish anything in June either! Well, it's not totally void of completion. I did finish 4 more veterans quilts. Here are my stats. All of the details are on my 2017 project gallery page. Starting UFO 19 Finished YTD 4 (Goal 11) Started YTD 6 (Planned 6) Ending UFO 16 (Goal 14) Veterans YTD 16 (Goal 40) I'm not at all bothered by this because I did make a lot of progress in June and I have a plan to have 4 completions in July. I have the wedding quilt half quilted. I'm using a simple all over casual feather motif. I hope to get this one done and bound next week. While I'm in "blanket mode" of quilting all-over designs I'm going to quilt these 2 after the wedding quilt. Then one day this week I was emailing with Alycia about Quilts of valor and found out that her group supports a unit that works with female PTSD patients. We were specifically talking about Rainbow's End and I'm thinking about sending it to her. Then I remembered this quilt that I made several years ago. It lust needs a plain white border and it would be perfect for her. So this one have moved up the list and I hope to get all 4 of these quilts done in July.
If I can get to 4 finished for July that would be a huge accomplishment! How did you do with your goals for June?

I was able to completely finish one quilt I started 10 years ago. I put borders on one from last year, made a whole top from vintage butterfly blocks I bought about 8 years ago, put together a top (borders go on today) from blocks I got about 6 years ago and working on a quilt I started this year. I also cut out plain white fabric for another quilt (bought the pink pinwheels on eBay). I want all these UFOs done or gone.

Your Rainbow's End is a lovely quilt and will be a lovely gift for someone suffering with PTSD.

I moved one quilt from WIP to TBQ - progress! I also was able to almost finish another quilt from the TBQ pile - the quilting is complete, but it still needs to be bound. This will definitely be finished by the end of July! I'm behind on my goals for the year, without much hope of catching up. I'm leaving them as-is for now, but will probably re-prioritize in September. Comments are closed.
