Yesterday we made our annual day-trip to Hampton for the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival. Some years the exhibits are better than others, depending on the entries they received, but all years are fun. I didn't take many quilt photos but if I have any worth sharing I'll edit and post them later this week. I was well restrained with my shopping and came home with only a small bag of items. Unfortunately the car discussion has me dreaming of a new sewing machine and I'm going to try to talk myself out of that. I just bought a new machine 2 years ago and, aside from it's hatred of metallic thread, it's otherwise a wonderful machine. I plan to spend the rest of the weekend hanging out with FloMo. We are going to finish this veterans quilt and hopefully 2 more. Then I want to get the Rainbow Quilt loaded and started. We'll see how it goes.
What are your plans for the weekend? I hope it's something fun.

Today was our friends' annual winter barbecue. The weather cooperated with temps around 70. Until the front came through with thunderstorms. But we were home by then. Tomorrow is church and maybe some sewing.

About your current machine hating metallic threads: Have you tried using a needle with a Teflon-coated eye? That solved my own problem with the thread constantly breaking. Good luck. (Or, happy shopping.) 2/26/2017 08:03:59 am
It's 6 am in Montana and I am reading my blogs and dreaming of being back in NC in 2018! And being able to go to things like Quiltcon and Mid-Atlantic. Can't wait.

You were very restrained with your show purchases. I hope to emulate you when I attend the sewing show in a few weeks. Comments are closed.
