Chris and I started off April with colds so that put a little damper on my plans for the month. But, I'm not disappointed with what I did get done. My list os always longer than it's possible to accomplish. My goals for April were: - make some birthday postcards - done - make a set of placemats - done! - finish quilting Mom's quilt - didn't even look at it - quilt some veterans quilts - 13 of them to be exact! - make a new hiking backpack - I quilted veterans quilts instead My big accomplishment of the month was quilting 12 veterans quilts for quilt club members and finishing one of my own. It's nice to have the to-be-quilted closet empty of veterans quilts for the time being. The closet still has a lot of other quilts that need to be quilted and 3 of them are queen size. With the leftovers of the veterans quilt, I made a set of 4 placemats. This is another set that I'll take to the beach at the end of this month to gift to my family. I should be able to get one more set made before we go. While I was down with the cold I didn't want to do much except crochet so I finished 5 baby hats and 2 men's chemo hats. I only finished off 3 skeins of yarn this month but at least I didn't buy any! Finally, I got some postcards made for some special birthdays.
Here are my YTD stats: Veterans quilts made - 8 Donation lap quilts - 12 Veterans quilts quilted - 19 Fabric Postcards - 3 Quilted for others - 2 Crochet blankets - 3 Crochet shawls - 1 Crochet/loom knit hats and scarves - 19 Doll outfits - 2 Placemats - 16 Other Donated items - 74 Garments (sewn and cochet) - 1 Balls of yarn used - 24 Other items - 3 My goals for May are: - make 2 more placemat sets for beach gifts - quilt Mom's baby quilt - quilt and finish the firefighter quilt - start the Goldfinch quilt - Mother's Day and birthday postcards |
