2011 Quilts and Projects
2011 was a big year for completing projects. I was helped along by a deadline to have quilts ready for an exhibit at the Virginia Quilt Museum in September. The exhibit was of quilts by Country School Quilters and it was curated by my friend, Estelle Porter. Thanks to her prodding I finished several big quilts this year and 2 of them (Star Struck and On A Whim) were entered in the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Show in 2012. Star Struck won a Honorable Mention ribbon in the Traditional category.
I also took on a journaling project and created an 8 x 10 art quilt every for every week of the year.

Anne's Fish quilt
Anne made this raw edge applique quilt. I quilted the fish with Monopoly thread and curved cross-hatching. The rest is free motion and SID.
