Quilt of Valor
62" x 82"
This quilt was mad as a collaboration with my quilt club, Country School Quilters. I did a program on how to make the blocks and they pieced most of them. I put the top together and finished it. The pattern is from the book Color Shuffle by Karla Alexander. The pattern is Shaken, Not Stirred and I made another quilt from this pattern last year.

The blocks are made with a stash and slash technique. You stack 3 squares of fabric, slash through them and reorder the pieces to get 3 different blocks. These 3 blocks were cut at the same time. It looks easy but this is actually harder than a standard square in a square. You have to pay close attention to keep every piece in the right place.
I just had to dye a custom backing for this one. This is a ice dyed spiral and I quilted it so that it's perfectly centered on the quilt.
The quilting is a simple spiky overall pattern and it's quilted with So Fine thread top and bottom. The label is one that I use on all of my QOV quilts.
