Snails Trail Quilts
Around this time I was buying most of my fabric in fat quarter sizes. When Anne and I made the gift quilt it was a pattern meant specifically for fat quarters. I then became a little obsessed with creating other block patterns that would best utilize fat quarters. The Snail's Trail block was the next one I worked on and I made several quilts in this pattern. Some full size and some baby quilts. These are the ones I finished in 2007.
April - This one in blues and white was quilted with a technique called Magic Meandering that I learned that year. It was developed by Suzanne Earley. This quilt was exhibited at MQX in 2008.
April - This baby quilt version was given to a co-worker for his baby shower a few years after it was made.
James' Music Quilt - May - I made this for my nephew's graduation. He was a music major specializing in trombone. I found a trombone panto to quilt it. It was so difficult to do the trombone slides on a straight diagonal that I gave the panto away when I was done with it.
