Zombie Ball Quilt
36" square (more or less)
This quilt was so much fun to make! This is the third year that I've made a quilt for Benartex using Paula Nadelstern's new fabric line.

with 2 pieces of fabric. The best thing about this quilt is the simple construction. Each block finishes at 6" and is a simple Drunkard's Path block. All of the complexity comes from the fabric. In constructed the top in a couple of afternoons.
You can blame the Cross the Drunkard's Path Quilt Along on this quilt. This is what got me so focused on that block!

The other cool thing about this quilt is that the background fabrics are all from one fabric! Take a look at this image and you will be able to see both of the background pieces in one piece of Blue Cascade.
Here's one of the corner blocks. The balls are made from Pink and Blue Wings fabrics. I used two colorways to get an overlay effect. I enjoyed this so much that now I want to do a larger quilt using these fabrics.
Instead of a binding I faced the quilt and I created a zentangle label for the back. Have you figured out why I named it Zombie Ball? It was a play on the Fabracadabra name for the fabric line. Zombie Ball is a magic term and is the floating ball that's usually covered with silk cloth.
