Where in the world is my cat?
The second quilt that I made for Paula Nadelstern this year is this fun, and simple, quilt with very artful cat faces.

The inspiration for my quilt came from these 2 patterns. Neither would work for my project but they are both good patterns and deserve consideration if you are wanting to make a cat themed quilt.
The construction is simple. The fun comes in by making templates for the cat face and ear and using the templates to fussy cut the fabric. The cat block is 6" x 7" and the diagram on the right will give you the dimensions to draft your own cat face.
The vertical sashing finishes at 2" and the horizontal sashing finishes at 1.5". The top and bottom borders are finished 2" and the side borders are finished 3". Simple!

The fabric is from the Where In The World line. You can easily pick out which fabric is in each cat. It was so much fun to see the cats come together.
The border is a 1" border of the Midnight Marbella and 3.5" border of the Vox stripe. I used all of the leftover fabrics for the back which included 3 Starry Night blue and metallic silver textured prints.
