Time In Place Quilt(s)
36” square
This is the quilt that I made with Paual Nadelstern’s new fabric collection, Chromazone. This time I decided to challenge myself not to use the feature fabrics and instead use some of the supporting characters.

The diamonds are from the Caribbean colorway of Vox. The green and orange sections are stripes. The background and sashing are from Sandstone.

Here’s my Zentangle label. The text is printed on paper then I do the drawing around it. When it’s done I print it on fabric.

When I started this project I had 2 version of the Vox stripe: Red/Green and Caribbean. I thought I was going to use the red from one and the blue from the other and I was going to use black as the background. I ended up making so many diamonds that I realized that I had enough for 2 quilts and enough of the green Sandstone to make a second quilt. I got both tops done and let Paula pick the one she wanted and it was the green one.
The black one is now a UFO!
This was a very different approach and design for me and I’m really happy with it. I love the green background one and will hang it when the quilt comes home next year.
