There's nothing like a riverside vacation with beautiful sunsets to inspire a new gradient. It's called Awaken but it can be your sunrise or sunset, whatever you need. This gradient could also make it's way into a lovely baby quilt. It would also work well in a bargello technique, without all the annoying strip piecing the way that John Anderson did in his bargello using Morning Glory. He only had to add in a bit of black and then he was ready to cut and piece, significantly speeding up the process. Gradient Back In StockI also have 2 gradient that are back in stock this week. Blue Sky Gradient is, hand down, the best selling gradient. Here are just three art quilts made using the Blue Sky Gradient. All three of these beautiful pieces are made by Patricia Caldwell. Click on each one to see more detail. Fabric of the WeekThis newsletter is totally focused on gradients so the fabric of the week must be a gradient too. Get ready for some summer gardening with Vintage Rose. It's 20% off through Sunday!
Today's inspiration comes from Patti Stewart. She included the Conch Shades Pack in her Tide Pools art quilt. It reminded me of tide pools in Acadia as soon as I saw it.
For sharing, Patti received a 20% coupon for the shop that's good for 3 months! If you have made anything with my hand dyed fabric I hope you will consider sharing it in the Customer Gallery. The only rule is that project has to be complete. It doesn't have to be made totally from hand dyed fabric, just include a recognizable amount. |
