Yesterday was a day without any distractions so I got to spend a good 5 hours or more in the sewing room with my audiobook on. The scrap bin is almost empty! There are at least 3 veterans quilts in here. I'll need to cut some other fabrics to go with but I have drawers and drawers of hand dyed fabrics for that. After I got tired of cutting I sat down to some sewing. I cut these blocks out while I was cutting the cats and there are enough blocks here for a veterans quilt. I'll start sewing this quilt together tomorrow.
I will also start cutting the cat background fabrics and, hopefully, start sewing it together this weekend. If the weather allows I want to grout my mosaic wall Sunday. Fingers crossed! I hope you have a great weekend. I find my days are really nice when I stay off any news sites on the internet.

Good job on having that bin almost empty. I spent the day doing dishes, making masks, taking care of emails for my real job, and answering texts. I have a friend that bought some masks online from a local lady, but they were too small. She measured them and they were child size - not what she ordered. So she called me and I made 4 masks tonight for her, her husband and her mother. Her husband has a big head and so I had to cut the mask 11 x 7 instead of 9 x 7. I am getting sick of making masks! I have 37 more ready for pressing. Wow, you are getting a lot done!! I am bogged down in a repair, and I wish I'd not agreed to do it. I am working on it just a bit every day, so I can do some more fun things around it. Today will get out and get more plants in the ground, a nice change for a warm spring day.

I'm with you in trying very hard to stay away from watching/hearing the news. I put music on in my sewing room and drown out the tv so I don't have to hear it. Your scrap bin is decidedly dwindling - good for you. Comments are closed.
