Mari made this for a quilt along called Intricate Stitches that she hosted on her blog. You might know Mari as The Academic Quilter. The blocks are intricate traditional blocks, each made in the colors issued by Angela of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge. For 2 years I offered color packs to go along with the RSC colors and that's what Mari used in this quilt. She also purchased a few Stash Packs to supplement the fabric as she went along. (The green in the center star is one of these.) The sashing and frames are Kona cottons. Here's the post on her blog about this bright and happy quilt.

I'm Vicki Welsh and I've been making things as long as I can remember. I used to be a garment maker but transitioned to quilts about 20 years ago. Currently I'm into fabric dyeing, quilting, Zentangle, fabric postcards, fused glass and mosaic. I document my adventures here.
