This week's inspiration comes from Rachel Derstine. Winter Apple Tree is the second in a seasonal commissioned series that's she's doing featuring an apple tree. She used a custom dyed large tapestry in the Blue Sky gradient. I can dyed custom gradients up to 108" wide.
You can read additional information and see more of Rachel's art on her blog. For sharing, Rachel received a 20% coupon for the shop that's good for 3 months! If you have made anything with my hand dyed fabric I hope you will consider sharing it in the Customer Gallery. The only rule is that projects have to be complete. It doesn't have to be made totally from hand dyed fabric, just include a recognizable amount. Here are a couple more photos that Rachel shared showing a close up of the stenciling and applique and the quilting of this large piece.
