David Armour has been a customer of mine for several years and I've been wanting you to meet him. His main interest is in color value so his purchases are generally Shades Packs and he works magic with them! He is masterful at mixing hand dyed and commercial fabrics and loves working with value and transparency in his art quilts. David graciously invited us into his quilting spaces and I hope you will enjoy meeting him and touring his quilting home. It's a PDF article that you can download and read here. Here's one of David's recent finishes. I just love his color palettes!

Vicki, the pdf does not show up. The quilt work you are showing is just so scrumptious and juicy! 1/11/2017 01:21:16 pm
Hmmm, I don't know what's going on. I was able to open it from both links. Do you have downloads blocked in your browser or something? 1/11/2017 08:42:48 pm
Extraordinary quilts. The pdf downloaded for me just fine.

It is always so interesting to see how other people work. While I drool over photos of neat work areas, that is not the way I work. Especially when I am doing scrap quilts, I have to get all those fabrics out there. And the more scraps I use, the more scraps I make! I am not an art quilter, but I do enjoy fabric and the art of quilting it. David's use of line and color is so beautiful! Thank you for posting it, Vicki. Comments are closed.
