I am fortunate to have Miriam Ahladas as a customer and a friend. I met her when she joined our little quilt group in Montpelier, VA. Seriously, you wouldn’t believe the talent that we have in this group in this little village in the middle of nowhere.
Miriam is a painter and got into fiber art only a few years ago. She actually stared by cutting apart one of her canvases and sewing it back together with fabric added. I’m very humbled that she finds my gradients so inspiring to her new fiber work. This is her latest piece that uses Jenny Lake as the background. She added several batiks and lots of fiber to add dimension and texture. I think you can really see her painting background as a major influence to her fiber work. If you have made anything with fabric you have purchased from me please consider entering it in the Customer Gallery. We all get inspired and you get a 20% coupon that’s good for 2 months!

The colors are wonderful; the quilting gives it such rich texture and depth. Truly stunning.

When fiber and fabric come together, it's a beautiful marriage, and I so enjoy being able to see the end result of your gorgeous fabrics, combined with Miriam's creativity as an artist. Comments are closed.
