I've been getting a few emails about my absence from the blog so it seemed time to report in. I'm almost embarrassed to admit that I've had a cold for 10 days. But this is no normal cold. This is the hurricane of colds. I haven't been this sick since 1985 or 1986 when I had bronchititis 10 times and pneumonia twice. Seriously, I've coughed so much that I've strained my diaphragm. Coughing with that is no fun at all. But I'm on the end of it and that's good.
I didn't have anything to share today unless you want a rundown on all of the crappy TV that I've watched. I"m thinking there might be a bit of sewing or something in my day today so let's plan on a photo tomorrow. We're supposed to get our first snow of the year so it might be a snow photo. I hope you are having a more productive and fun time this week!

I suspected that your cold was being an overdue guest. Glad to hear you're on the back end. Feel better.

So sorry you've been so ill, Vicki! Hope you can kick this crud soon. 1/6/2017 02:34:16 pm
it certainly isn't fun being that sick - it totally wipes you out and that coughing can just down right hurt - glad you are on the road to recovery

Sorry to hear you have been so ill. My son came home for his college break with something like you got, and had coughed so much, he probably strained a rib or something. He got some antibiotics and it was really a full week after that that he finally started to turn the corner on it. The MD suspected pneumonia, but my son didn't feel like sitting in the ER to get the Xray to find out. Hope you have turned the corner and start to feel better too. 1/6/2017 03:16:34 pm
Sending well wishes your way - we had our first snow today. Staying inside where it is warm and dry!

Darn! You've had that cold too long. Hope you will soon be feeling much better and back to your normal activities. Was the Untuckit shirt a keeper?

Get well soon! It's no fun being sick. 1/7/2017 06:08:18 am
If it is any consolation, it seems that a similar bug hitched a ride Down Under, but I have kept my distance from those suffering so far. Plenty of rest and fluids ... and get well soon. 1/7/2017 08:18:19 am
I had a similar cold from the end of November into December. 1/7/2017 08:20:06 am

You are such a consistent blogger I knew you had to be pretty bad with blog silence for days. Try not to bounce back too quickly, right into a relapse. Maybe a little snow dyeing in the forecast!

I thought you might be sick and did not want to put pressure on you. Those horrible "I can't breathe, can't clear secretions, sleep or feel like eating" colds are miserable for weeks. I hope you get well and stay well for 2017. Comments are closed.
