Snow day

I seriously need to do some snow dyeing

I said I'd have photos today but I don't have photos of anything creative although I'm a lot closer to that today than yesterday. Instead I've enjoyed watching it snow all morning and early afternoon. All totaled we got about 5 inches and it should all melt off by Thursday. Perfect.

On a normal snow day I'd be in the basement preparing for a big snow dyeing session. My hope is that I have the energy for all that tomorrow and that I can do some snow dyeing Monday. It's going to be cold enough that the snow will not melt so I should be good for that. I have a few more fold ideas that I want to try out and this is the perfect opportunity.

For now, it's just nice to be in the warm house and enjoying the view outside with my new friends. These are vulture ornaments that my friend made me for Chirstmas. The keep watch over me in my sewing room window.

snow will be with you for a couple days so maybe you will have energy for snow dying. look forward to seeing the photos. my sister was well enough to snap some photos from her doorway of her snow and beautiful as it as I would think unusual to have that much in her area closer to the coast.

I'll take snow any day of the winter, late fall, early spring. Today we are having little tiny snowflake snow. Not sticking. Tuesday supposed to be in low 40's (SE Michigan). No one likes black ice for driving. Since I am retired I don't have to drive unless I want to and feel safe doing it. A true luxury.

It looks like the Vultures are discussing the weather with the snow in the background. They sure are cute!

Now THERE's a friend that 'gets you'!! I love your vultures! Hope you're seeing the light at the end of the sickie tunnel and will be up to playing with all that snow.

Glad to read that you are feeling better. It must be because the vultures are watching over you. ;-)
Your snow photos are so pretty. I hope the cold air tomorrow will not further irritate your respiratory issues.
Here in sunny northern CA, we had 2" of snow this morning, a novelty, of course, happening every 3-5 years or less. It made a lovely window view. With a 51 degree forecast for tomorrow, it will soon be gone.
Have fun with the snow dyeing.

Sometime you need to do a process post on snow dyeing, or have you already? I have dye and snow, and now would be a fun time to try it!

Love the vultures, and I agree with Wanda ... they are discussing the weather outside the window. Also how much they appreciate being inside the window!

The vultures are very cool! There was only had a half inch of snow here. I was lucky and that big storm missed me, but there is not enough snow to do any snow dyeing.
