Well, here it is off the frame and spread over a queen size bed. It's really, really big! I'm please with the way it looks on the bed. Kim says that if it's too big for her bed she will buy a new bed. She would actually do that. At this point the zippers are still attached in case I need to do any repairs. Inspecting the stitching on the back was not easy! I liked this backing when I bought it but I didn't like it much yesterday. So far the only thing I've discovered is this little pleat which will stay exactly where it is. I don't think I'd ever be able to find it again! Next I'll trim it and start the binding. I'll hand stitch the binding so that might take MONTHS. Next up for quilting is something simple. This is a quilt that Mom made to give someone who works in her apartment building. It's going to get an easy pantograph. After that I have over 14 veterans quilt tops needing quilting! Don't forget to check in every day next week for daily giveaways!

You made me feel so much better today...I found a couple of tucks on the backside of my Fall Frolic...I hate that! The quilting affect is fantastic on your flower quilt

Wow! Your quilt is simply gorgeous. Very elegant. I love it. Love the backing, too, though I see how it might be hard to find threads!

It's been a long haul but didn't you just do a fantastic job with this collection of orphaned flowers. The quilting is fantastic.

That quilt is amazing Vicki - I love it! And it's just the size I would like (being that I need to cover up the fact that our bed is up on blocks so we can have the storage beneath).

I think the BIG quilt looks great. As for that little tuck? I used to freak out about those, but honestly once it is washed it probably won't be noticeable. 10/14/2020 10:27:31 pm
With the thick box springs and mattresses on the new beds that quilt might actually be too small. My son said he thinks his new bed is 30" tall and he didn't even get the thickest box springs.

I have watched you quilt this one and I thought it was spectacular quilting and made a gorgeous quilt, now I think that doubly;)

The quilt turned out fabulous! The little tuck is no big deal. Once the quilt is washed it will certainly disappear. 14 veteran quilt is a lot to quilt. That will keep you busy for a while! I just looked at my finished list and I haven't sent you any tops this year. I had better get a move on! This year has just flown by!
