...because I don't have any goals for August! July 2023 will forever be known as "Goldfinch month". It doesn't matter what else I finished in July, The Goldfinch is done and ready to hang in the exhibit in September. I did actually finish a few more things including 2 crochet blankets and I quilted a quilt for Mom. She got it bound this weekend and it will be delivered to her Granddaughter later this month. I used up 4 balls of yarn, gave away 4 and didn't buy any. I expect I'll use a lot more in August. I do a lot of crochet in the evenings on vacation. I even made a batch of pet beds for donation and dyed myself some new tshirts for the summer.
I had several goals for July that didn't get done and I'll just seed the September list with them: - make placemats for my brother - placemats for my nephew - quilt a guild fundraiser quilt I'll add the following: - start quilting the Red Sunset quilt that I pieced on vacation last summer - quilt 6 veterans quilts - -quilt some donation lap quilts My current stats are: Quilts - 2 Veterans quilts made - 8 Donation lap quilts - 12 Veterans quilts quilted - 25 Fabric Postcards - 19 Pet Beds - 7 Quilted for others - 4 Crochet blankets - 4 Crochet shawls - 1 Crochet/loom knit hats and scarves - 24 Doll outfits - 2 Placemats and Table Runners - 25 Dyed shirts and towels - 7 Other Donated items - 74 Garments (sewn and cochet) - 1 Balls of yarn used - 40 Other items - 5

I don't think there's much that can top that goldfinsh so it should get rave reviews at the exhibit. I do hope there are prizes! Comments are closed.
