I've slowly been making progress on my hand sewing projects this summer and I recently finished 4 more moons. I have not grown bored with this project yet. I had a tough time deciding on a favorite between this one and the orange one. I'm so partial to orange but I picked this one just because of the unique coloring. I think I dyed it purple first and then overdyed yellow. I hadn't pulled all of the blocks out since May so it was time to put them all up and get even more motivation to keep going. It turns out that I didn't even have all of them up there! I missed 4 of them. I seriously love these blocks.
I now have 49 done and 23 prepped for stitching. Football season starts soon so this and the vintage flower blocks will start to see some serious action starting in September.

It's easy for me to pick a favourite - there's a blue one, so there's no contest!

I hope you watch a lot of football, because I can't wait to see this top finished. Each block is beautiful and unique unto itself, but I do have favorites. The bright orange, the pink in the bottom row, the lime green & yellow, and the aqua blue, on the left in the next to the bottom row. 8/4/2019 12:23:26 pm
Oh Vicki.....this one is coming along nicely. The background squares from gray to black really hold the design together and help show off all of the shibori work.

The moons are all so beautiful it would be hard to pick a favorite. You have made a lot of progress on this piece. Comments are closed.
