I put the last stitch in the label this morning. I'm really happy with the quilt. The one criticism that you might have is that the motifs don't show up well. Selecting the thread for this quilt was a real challenge. My original idea was to use gold but it looked terrible. I settled on 3 shades of orange-brown. I'm actually really happy with it. Some of the motifs stand out more than others so it invites you in to look closer.
You can see more photos on the Lost My Marbles page. I'm happy to have this 5 year old UFO done. Now I can start something new! 6/27/2019 03:10:34 pm
I can't believe it was 5 years ago you started that one. My how time flies. It is such a beautiful quilt and I'm sure a viewer close to it would really get hooked on looking at all of the different quilting designs.

Fantastic. Job well done. 6/28/2019 08:50:02 am
I think the subtlety of it is one of the appealing aspects of the quilt. Also, the colors work wonderfully together.

Congratulations on getting this finished. As my Mom used to say "that's a good job done!" I know the photo doesn't do it justice. This is definitely one of those quilts you have to see in person to appreciate the detailed quilting. Comments are closed.
