I made progress on the QOV on the last 2 days just working on it in snippets of time. I want it done quickly so I decided on a ribbon meander. Doubling over the meander path makes such a huge difference as you can see here where I haven't yet gone back over the current row. I've also got the kiln busy slumping bottles. I've collected quite a few lately so it was time to get through them. I can only fit 3 at a time in the kiln and have a second batch going now. Hopefully I'll get these in the shop in the next week.
But my priority for today is to catch up on getting some fabric in the shop. I've fallen behind on my ironing. Anyone can find me at the ironing board listening to a book today. 12/8/2016 02:43:21 pm
The ribbon meander looks great on this one. The bottles look good, too.

I really like the meander ribbon design. The bottles turned out great! I have some of the rocks I collected in Del Mar California sitting in my blue bottle dish. I think of you every time I look at it. Going over that meander really makes the quilting special, gives it some zing! I just loaded a quilt with black borders, black HSTs, black batting, and will be quilting in black thread. I need to do this in the morning when the light is better in the sewing room, LOL!!

I really like the meandering quilting. It adds to the quilt.

Your ribbon meander looks great! It's surprising how much better it looks than the single stitched section. I'm certainly going to have to try that. Comments are closed.
