Here it is finally done!* If you want to read the backstory and see the detail photos you can read all about in on the Non Unus Pluma page. I made this quilt specifically to hang here in our bedroom. The color inspiration was from this collection of Poole Pottery planet plates that I bought when I was working in London in 2002. We still had Pluto as a planet back then!
* Did you notice the asterisk? I have to be totally honest and say that this quilt might not be done. The center poofs a little and it's bugging me. I'm going to steam it this weekend before it hangs in the Montpelier Center for the Arts. After I get it back at the end of September I may add some more quilting.

The quilt goes perfectly with the plates. I attended a lecture once by the man who discovered Pluto. He claimed to have been a plutocrat for years. Badumbum.

You put a lot of yourself into this quilt and it shows! It's wonderful!!! 8/20/2016 08:00:28 am
The colors of the quilt match the plates nicely. I think it was a great choice of inspiration.

It is nice to see such beautiful quilting without a feather. I looked back at the close ups to check on the "not one feather" name.
