I just wanted to show you today that I am slowly making progress on my Red Sunset quilt. I'm actually really motivated so I work on it whenever I can make some time. The "border" is actually 4 corners. I started in the center of the corner triangle and am working my way to the edge. Many of you will look at this and think that there is not enough contrast between the blue points and the background. You are probably right but I'm not about to re-do them. It's a bed quilt after all and I'm cool with them the way they are. Now I'm working on the gold spike border. It was a lto of work to cut it out but the stitching isn't quite as burdensome as I expected. So far, so good! Next I will start on the other side of the spike border. After that there's only one more border to piece before I can put it all together.

This quilt is going to be amazing! That gold adds such a great accent to the curve.

I like the subtly of contrast between the blue and the red. If I were looking at the finished quilt, that would draw me in to look more closely . But then I am a bit "odd" in that respect.

It seems to me the key to this type of quilt is 2 fold. 10/8/2022 08:01:45 am
Mercy, that is going to be a stunner! All those curves look hard!

Wow those blue points on the gold triangles are so fab. I'm going to steal that idea.

You have created some really stunning quilts but I think this one outdoes all of them. It's going to be a showpiece! Comments are closed.
