I was teaching the Innova new owners this past Friday and Saturday and left my computer at the shop Friday night. That's why I didn't post Saturday. I didn't post Sunday because I was tired from 2 days of teaching and I was watching football. I try to stick to my personal rule of staying off the computer for "work" on Sunday and I had no problem keeping to that rule yesterday. After watching my Hokies lose (as expected) to Tennessee Saturday night it was fun to watch the Eagles win yesterday with a rookie QB who was only named a started this week. Of course, since they won, everyone is already placing him in the Hall of Fame and you know that means that either his performance goes down the toilet or he gets injured. The internet has really taken away ever sense of reason and patience that we might have had years ago. Even with a nap yesterday I made good progress on my applique quilt. I've gotten half of the second border done this weekend and there's another game tonight. Here it is pinned on the wall. Once I have the bordered added to the 9-patch center I'll applique a 5-petal bud in the corners. I'm loving it!
Now I have to get busy and iron more fabric to put in the shop this week.

Love how the border looks with the center nine blocks. Can't wait to see the rest of it. Your buttonhole stitches are so precise. 9/13/2016 07:53:21 am

Love how your applique is coming along! Looks like I have a third football team to keep an eye on (besides Vikings and NDSU Bison). Have enjoyed watching Carson play during his years at NDSU (where our kids went to college). Glad to see him having success already in the pros. 9/13/2016 11:47:57 pm
I am loving your appliqué border design. And what great blanket stitching! Will you longarm quilt this?

Just read your post from 2015 about 'choosing the right longarm for you'. I 'test drove' an Innova a couple of years ago at Houston and have had that in the back of my mind every since. I'm on my 2nd Gammill and it is great but there was just something about Innova that fit me better. I am in the process of selling my Gammill right now, and when I do...it will be Innova for sure. Also have a friend that had the same Gammill that I have and switched to Innova. But you are so right, it is all about what works for you. I have friends that all swear by their brands and are very happy with them. I enjoyed your post on the subject. Will be visiting that friend soon to 'play' on hers for one last 'test drive'.
